"Is this site legitimate"?
"Is this just a scam"?
"I am not ready to proceed - because I really don't trust the internet".
"Is this site legal - or a clever platform for theft?
A scam is a device or intent to deceive, to missrepresent for profit. To rip you off. To steal your money.
I agree that you need to be careful because there are web sites used exclusively to collect personal information and your credit card number. .
If what they offer is too good to be true, it usually is too good to be true. The worst culprits are the sites that offer stunning goods or services for under 10 bucks. What these sites want is your card number so they can quickly use it without your knowledge. This phenomenon is not new. And it is not limited to the internet. The internet just makes it easier to hit and run.
What this site does for you.
This site provides information about Colin's Child Support Book.. This site gives you an alternative to paying thousands to a lawyer to do the same work. And, importantly this site is an alternative to going it alone, so you can avoid the pitfalls and frustrating delays.
What this site does not do.
Do you tell me your social insurance number? Your health card number? Credit card numbers?
Compliance Issues, and truth.
I will not lie to you, and I will not lie to the courts.
I am not selling get-rich-quick schemes or off-shore drugs. I deal with legal issues under two main federal legislations; the Divorce Act and the Child Support Guidelines. I have a duty to the senior courts not to missrepresent, not to deceive the court, or to circumvent justice. I can not risk my work and reputation with the court system by trying to snow the court. Huh? Let me put it this way. I must be truthful - truth is the foundation of our legal system. I will not advise you to use a separation date that is not your true separation date. I will not process your divorce application if there is a chance of reconciliation. I will not suggest any method to get around the waiting periods.
Pay your money and not get your service?
This is a real concern for almost all your business transactions, interntet or not. So what safeguards to you have?
People who use my service also use PayPal for the financial transaction. Paypal has an excellent complaint resolution department. Simply log on to PayPal and they open a file, and at the same time the file is opened they nail my account for the money. Your money is on hold until the dispute is satisfied.
Here is a recent letter.
" Thank you again for making this process easy during a difficult time. I would recommend you to any of my friends or family if they needed the service. Thanks again for being so wonderful and helpful".

The hidden fee issue
This is common, and very understandable. Take a look at today's newspaper; the car ads, and the electronic gear ads. There is a common theme with hidden fees, obscure tiny print, and impossible mail-in rebates. No wonder we have concerns with hidden fees.
I have no hidden fees. I also do not have come-ons or pop-ups or banners, or all the things annoying.
I do have an excellent reputation. BUT, I can not please everyone. Divorce can be tough on you, the other side's lawyer can try to beat you, or steal your money, your ex can file an argument just to make you look bad or to seek a pound of revenge. It's all part of life, and my point? I can not please everyone.
What is a lawyer's opinion of on-line work?
Just about all of them dislike this type of on-line service. If you want to score points with your lawyer tell him you'd rather pay him $4,000 instead of risking $29 on-line for exactly the same outcome.
Sincerely,
and with integrity
